Logos Cells are decentralised groups of Operators dedicated to building and nurturing local networks that advance the Logos mission. They serve as community hubs for education, experimentation, and organisation, all aimed at driving social change. Cells embody the human power behind Logos's decentralised vision, playing a crucial role in growing the community and effectively identifying key areas for impactful social transformation.

Purpose and Vision

Logos Cells are not merely local groups; they are decentralised hubs of activity that bridge the digital and physical realms. The primary purpose of Cells is to cultivate strong communities that align with Logos' ethos and values, fostering collaboration among individuals to promote the growth of trustless systems. In the long term, Cells will form a network of ideologically aligned individuals connected through the Logos Network and a shared commitment to protecting civil liberties.

Core Functions of Logos Cells

Logos Cells perform a variety of essential roles, including:

  • Education: Hosting workshops, seminars, and discussions on blockchain, privacy, and decentralisation to empower local communities with the knowledge to engage in the Logos ecosystem.

  • Experimentation: Serving as spaces to test the latest technologies within the Logos ecosystem, from applications to community-driven innovations.

  • Onboarding New Operators: Guiding new members through mentorship and structured programmes, helping them stake their Operator NFTs and contribute meaningfully.

  • Community Engagement: Organising meetups, coordinating local events, and driving grassroots initiatives that align with the broader mission of Logos.

Path to Leadership

To become a Cell leader, Operators must demonstrate commitment by:

  • Staking: Operators are required to stake their Operator for at least two Epoch.

  • Application: Once Operators have met the required experience points (XP) threshold—a measure of their engagement and contributions—they are invited to apply for a leadership training course. This programme is designed to equip them with the essential skills needed to effectively manage a successful Cell.

Support for Cell Organisers

Cell organisers will earn experience points (XP) for establishing and maintaining their Cells, which include ongoing responsibilities such as hosting monthly meetups. Logos will provide support to organisers with resources for community outreach, programming information, and access to intellectual property, enabling them to fulfil their responsibilities effectively and enhance community engagement.

Additionally, we are exploring ways to assist Cells in covering the costs of meetups, as well as the potential for grants to fund any further experiments organised by the Cells.

Future Role of Logos Cells

Over time, Logos Cells will evolve into decentralised governance bodies, representing their local communities within the broader Logos ecosystem. They will play a key role in ensuring the growth and decentralisation of the Logos technology stack, contributing to its long-term success both technologically and socially.
