Hackerspace
If you own or have access to a space that could be suitable for establishing a Logos Hackerspace, please reach out. We’d love to discuss long-term incentives for your participation in helping us build this global network of innovation hubs.
Introduction
What does it mean to be a hacker?
A hacker embodies the principles of autonomy, open access to information, and a distrust of centralized authority. Hackers embrace hands-on learning and collaboration, thriving in environments that prioritize sharing, cooperation, and self-determined learning.
What is a Hackerspace?
Hackerspaces (also hacklabs, hackspaces) are a community-run physical space where people gather to explore, build, and collaborate on technology projects. It’s a place for innovation, learning, and peer-to-peer interaction.
What is a example of a Hackerspace?
hackerspaces.org is an informal volunteer network of such spaces, maintaining community services - including an open wiki for everyone who wants to share their hackerspace information, stories and questions. From around the world, hackers meet on the libera.chat IRC channel #hackerspaces that is bridged to #chat:hackspaces.org on [matrix].
Logos Hackerspace
Vision
We are building a global network of hackerspaces that serve as physical nodes for the Logos network. These spaces are where the digital meets the physical, becoming hubs for coding, community-building, grassroots organizing, and experimentation. They will be places where Logos Operators can meet, build, and push the boundaries of innovation within a secure, collaborative environment.
Our long-term vision for Logos Hackerspaces is to plant the seeds for permanent outposts of our parallel society—a decentralized, tech-driven community built to last. These spaces will evolve into future cohabitation hubs where aligned individuals live, build, and thrive together, becoming a foundation for our future digital society.
Goals
Build a Self-Sustaining Network: Each hackerspace must be financially independent, able to cover its operational costs through member contributions, events, and project incubations. The long-term goal is to evolve these spaces into co-habitation communities as the network matures.
Create a Global Impact: Logos Hackerspaces are more than local hubs—they’re the physical manifestation of our global vision. Through these nodes, we aim to attract talent, generate media attention, and build the foundations for a truly decentralized society.
Why Hackerspaces?
Logos Hackerspaces aren’t just places to tinker—they are essential nodes in the larger network we’re building. They are where our community comes together to create the future. Logos Operators who engage with these spaces will be part of something bigger: the foundation of the Logos Parallel Society. Whether it's running decentralized nodes, hosting events, or creating technology, these spaces are where we turn our vision into reality.
Each hackerspace will:
Serve as a node for Logos Operators to gather, collaborate, and experiment.
Provide a physical space for community organizing, education, and governance experimentation.
Act as incubators for new projects aligned with our goals, providing support and resources to build on our tech stack.
Key Initiatives
Education: Hackerspaces will host ongoing educational programs, where members share their expertise with each other and the broader community. These sessions will cultivate a deep pool of skills and knowledge.
Incubation: Our hackerspaces will support builders, offering mentorship, space, and resources to teams aligned with our vision. Successful projects will generate revenue for both the team and Logos, driving growth for the entire ecosystem.
Event Hosting: These spaces will be used to host talks, workshops, hackathons, and other community-building events that align with our long-term vision.
Infrastructure: Hackerspaces will serve as physical locations for hosting network nodes and decentralized infrastructure critical to the Logos ecosystem.
Membership Model
Logos Hackerspaces will adopt a selective membership model, prioritizing Logos Operators and those aligned with our vision. Members will pay a fair monthly fee that grants access to the space, events, and educational opportunities. Logos Operators will enjoy special privileges, including discounted fees and priority access to events. This approach ensures a committed and high-quality community with a shared identity and purpose.
Potential Pilot Locations
Seoul, South Korea:
A highly engaged crypto community with strong local connections for organizing.
Berlin, Germany
A vibrant developer and hacker scene, both within and outside of crypto. Rich in talent and innovation.
Barcelona, Spain
A major European crypto hub with strong ties to the creative and tech communities.
Lagos, Nigeria
A strategic bet for the future. Lagos is a growing hub of economic activity, technological innovation, and crypto adoption.
Conclusion
Logos Hackerspaces are the starting points for a decentralized, parallel society—a society built by Operators who understand the importance of creating spaces where they can learn, build, and thrive outside traditional structures. These nodes are where the future is being built, and as a Logos Operator, you’ll be at the forefront of this revolution.
